God bless you and your efforts in helping us promote the Old Rite in Scotland.
It was announced this morning at St James’ Coatbridge, that at the instruction of Bishop Toal, the weekly Saturday morning Traditional Latin Mass is to be reduced to First Saturdays only.
This Mass will be offered at 9.45, preceded by confessions.
It is with great sadness that we announce that Bishop Toal of the Diocese of Motherwell has instructed that the 8am Traditional Latin Mass at St Mary’s Cleland be discontinued from the 15th August.
Bishop Toal advises the faithful that all Catholics of the Diocese should worship according to the Missal of 1970 in their geographical parishes, asking them to be ‘home birds’.
The Mass at 7pm on Thursdays will continue.
Please pray for Fr O’Connor and the good people who have assisted at this Mass with devotion and great love for the Lord in the Holy Eucharist.
With the kind permission of Bishop Toal, we are looking forward to hosting another Mass at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, Carfin.
Please spread the word and join us for this beautiful liturgy.
Dear members and friends,
As part of an international prayer effort for the preservation of the Traditional Latin Mass, communities which are dedicated to the Old Rite are being encouraged to consecrate themselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the Feast of the Assumption.
At the end of the speech I made on my election as chairman, I entrusted UVS and its work, members and clergy to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
On the 15th of August, for the preservation of the Traditional Latin Mass, I will be praying a formal act of consecration of UVS, our members, clergy and communities live on our Facebook Page at 4pm. I will also be supplying the necessary resources to the clergy so that they might consecrate their own congregations in a specific manner after Masses that day.
Please join us on the 15th on Facebook and in praying the following preparatory novena, beginning on the 7th August.
United with you in prayer as we work for the preservation of the Usus Antiquior through these challenging times.
In the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
