Una Voce Scotland is delighted to announce that the first meeting of a Guild of Saint Clare Scottish chapter will take place on January 31st 2026 at Lawside Friary, Dundee.
The Guild of St Clare repairs and makes vestments for use in the traditional liturgy using traditional hand sewing techniques. It was founded in Oxford in 2009 and is affiliated with the Latin Mass Society.
The Scottish chapter will be focused on repairing and making vestments for the priests who celebrate the traditional Mass here in Scotland. This first meeting will run from 10am until 4pm and you are welcome to either drop in for a few hours or stay for the day. All skill levels can be accommodated so if you are interested in taking part in this important work please do go along. Sewing kits will be provided but it you would like to bring your own that would also be appreciated.
Lucy Shaw, the Guild mistress will be at this first meeting to lend her expertise and ensure that the chapter begins life in the true spirit of the Guild.
