A reminder for Lent that the Low Mass in the Extraordinary Form is offered by the request of Bishop Toal at St Mary’s Church, 78 Main Street, Cleland, ML1 5QR, every Thursday evening at 7pm. http://www.rcdom.org.uk/st-marys-cleland

During Lent, the Attende Domine will be sung before Holy Mass, and the Ave Regina Caelorum and a traditional pious vernacular hymn of the season afterwards. A short ‘fervorino’ sermon will also be preached by Fr O’Connor.

Cleland is accessible by train (on the slow line between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh). The 6:15 from Glasgow Central should give just enough time to walk from the station to the Church. The 5:21 from Waverley (which also stops at Wester Hailes, Livingston South and West Calder) arrives in good time at Cleland. The 241 and X11 First Buses also come from Glasgow City Centre to the village.
